Artist's Comments

I saw this girl reading a magazine at Borders earlier today. Since I wasn't really doing much, I whipped out my trusty drawing book and started drawing her expression, face shape and hair. I wasn't after her likeness but her overall look.

I scanned the sketch when I got home and modified the image further in Painter.

She looks surprised. Maybe a little embarrassed. Makes me wonder what she's reading. ^^;

It's obvious she was being transported to another world full of magic and friendship, and only she could save that world from utter destruction. Wait...I watch the Neverending Story too much. ^^;

I'm glad you added highlights to the hair. It gives it good dimension, something I tend to forget.
she looks so into that book. Its an amazing sketch. You should do a tidy up, I'd fav it :)

You wouldn't say too much either if you'd taken a bullet in the tongue.
Thanks. I'll see what I can do. :)

WOW! I love it! Very beautiful drawing, with expression at her face :wow:
She is pretty , beautiful and cute !
Thanks for the +fav for this piece. I take no credit for the expression because that's the expression on the target... er... I mean subject. ;) I just copied that look on her face.
