Charcoal is great, it gives such smooth textures. The drawing is great, nice shading. Has a real sense about it. Good work.

Thanks! You should see the other sketches that didn't quite did it for me. This one was the closest to the model's likeness. I need to work on my charcoal skills some more in the future. I'm more of a pencil sketchy person.

Well, charcoal tends to do that to your hands. I think it's perfectly alright. Charcoal is easy to wash away anyway so don't be afraid to get dirty.

yep thats for sure, what I dislike the most about it is you get some on your hand that you dunno about and it gets on the part of the picture you don't want it on! and theres like no way to get rid of it hee hee.

I had to draw and characol a chair before... I need to get one of them art aporns get that all dirty hee hee....definatly so when I paint it can stop getting on my good paints *Thinks of art camp* yep there went 5 good pairs of paints...hee hee.

It helps to have paper towels or tissue handy. Put that between your hands and the paper you are drawing on so as to avoid unintentional smudging. That's what I'm told by my teacher at least.

Humm I should try it again maybe during one of my vactions..... stupid school.... my auntie bought me chalk that works kind of like Charcol but in pretty colors ^_^' heh. smudging sticks work well...and paint never comes outta pants....aii...
